Adhara has found a new home

Adhara from our Star Litter has arrived today at her new home in Castelldefels near Barcelona.
She is joining her half-sister Alize from our Storm litter there.
Together with an Irish Wolfhound they will be a great team .
She will attend her first show in Girona in March, together with Alize, who’s got her first show experience last weekend in Zaragozza and qualified Best Puppy!
Thanks Mariano for taking such great care of her and all the best for the future!

We have updated the photos of all the puppies that are still here with us and looking for a new family to have fun with and where they can occupy sofas and beds…..

Of the Star Litter, these are Chara, Deneb, Sabik, Adhara and Mirzam.

In the Storm Litter, Tornado, Hurricane and Monsoon are still looking for a new home to enjoy!

We have also added new pictures to the pages of Elven King, Desdemone, Artemis and Floradelys, as well as for the two puppies that are staying with us, Sirius and Mistral (on the Storm Litter Girls page).

We have added more pictures to the pages of our puppies.

Polaris, Typhoon and Alizé have left for their new homes and Hadar is looking forward to join his new family in Munich (Germany) on Friday.

CAC Jerez de la Frontera

On Saturday I went with Elven and little Floradelys to Jerez de la Frontera.
The CAC was on the calendar and we wanted them to gain show experience.
For Elven it was the second show and a premiere for little Flora and since Espen Engh was selected to be the judge, I really looked forward to it.

To be honest, I don’t understand why some breeders don’t like him.
He is highly qualified and knows exactly what is very important in a Borzoi and he gives very good advice. What is the point in avoiding a tough judge and just trying through luck and quantity of shows to collect as many CAC/CACIB’s as possible, when I want to breed with the best dogs I can select?

So, there we went and Elven received a Very Good. With him at just one year and 3 weeks old, this was a very happy result. He still needs to get a little bit more substance, but his overall appearance and movement were commented as “already very good and elegant”.
For this second time of his in a show ring, I was and still am very pleased.

Flora went to impress the judge and received a Very Good 1 and Best Puppy of Breed.
In the finals she made it to Best Puppy of Group!
She succeeded beyond all expectations and I am very proud of her.

Thanks a lot to Alice, who appeared out of nowhere when I needed a hand, she was a great help and much appreciated.

Elven was everybody’s darling and loved to get cuddles from the kids and to “wash” as many of their faces as he could.

The next shows we plan to attend are Granada and Seville, both in 2011.

The puppies are growing

The puppies of both litters are growing in leaps and bounds.

Most of them are now happily practicing sit and come very successfully and are listening to their names. They are playing with each other and the adult Borzois here in both paddocks and in the house. Housebraking is also getting there, everyday is better and they already tell us if they want to go out (most of them and most of the time, accidents are normal at that age!)

We have updated their pictures on the pages and some of them have messages for you!

Sabik says he wants a family with a big sofa and at least a queen size bed, as he loves to sleep and stretch out!

Adhara wants someone who loves kisses and lets her curl up next to you for her siesta.

Polaris wants a quiet household as he is a quiet kind of guy but he definitely wants to find somebody to looooove!

Nashira would love a place where she can be very active. She is very intelligent and loves to learn. Someone who would like to do agility with her or take her lure coursing would be great, or just someone who has lots of time to spend with her, take her on longs walks once she grows up. She loves people and enjoys to give kisses.
